120V vs. 240V

Sized to the equipment — not guessed

Most standard appliances run on a 120V dedicated circuit. Heavy equipment — EV chargers, electric ranges and dryers, hot tubs, and some HVAC — needs a 240V circuit, which uses a double-pole breaker and heavier-gauge wire. Where one is required, Fuse Electric handles the permit process, installs the circuit to NEC and applicable local code, and coordinates the required electrical inspection. If contractor attendance is required by the municipality or inspector, we make the appropriate arrangements.
